In this interactive webinar, we'll explore tips and ideas for incorporating clickers into your particular class. Clickers offer a powerful way to increase student engagement and improve learning. At the University of Colorado, we have transformed our classrooms by using clickers to promote peer instruction. We'll discuss best-practices based on research, as well as common challenges reported by instructors. In particular, we'll focus on the attributes of "great" clicker questions, discuss example questions, and share ideas on facilitating effective wrap-up discussions once all the votes are in.
This webinar is just one of a series of pedagogy webinars scheduled for spring 2012.

University Business: FBI Arrests Loyola Student Suspected Of Threatening To Blow Up Campus Building
The FBI has arrested a Loyola University student suspected of threatening to blow up a building on the Uptown campus, apparently to avoid taking a test. Evelyn Hubbard, a junior biology major, sent two profanity-riddled emails to the Loyola Police Department on the morning of Nov. 17, saying she would blow up Monroe Hall and kill five professors whom she did not identify, according to an FBI affidavit.
