College of Social Work – OSU Enrichment Fellowship
Ø
Qualified
candidates (Bachelor’s) interested in a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) at The
Ohio State University.
Ø
Must compete for
the OSU Enrichment Fellowship.
Ø
Must meet all
admission requirements of the regular MSW.
Ø
Have a minimum
grade point average of 3.1.
Ø
Score in the 40th
percentile or above on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
Ø
Application
deadline is January 7, 2014.
Ø
Fellowship award
is a 12 month appointment – May 16, 2014 – May 15, 2015.
Ø
Award provides a
$1667.00 monthly stipend and pays for one year of coursework for the MSW
degree.
Ø
Visitation
Program provides potential students with a visit to campus and the College of
Social Work.
Ø
The Office of
Diversity and Inclusion provides travel subsidies, housing and meals during the
Visitation Program.
Ø
The Graduate
School will offer an application fee waiver as well.
Ø
The two-day
program will include discipline specific workshops and general sessions about
OSU’s graduate and professional programs.
Ø
The application
deadline for the Visitation Program is September 13, 2013.
Ø
Only 80-90
students from across the country will be invited to attend.
Ø
Selected students
must have taken the GRE or be registered to take it by December 1, 2013
in order to be invited.
Ø
Preference will
be given to seniors as of Fall 2013 with a graduation date of May 2014.
