In this week's news: In a webinar sponsored by the International Association for K-12 Online Learning, experts gave their keys to starting or expanding a successful online or blended-learning program. And during a keynote speech at the Computer Using Educators conference in California, noted education researcher Diane Ravitch discussed both the promises and perils that technology holds for schools.
Also, teachers share their tips for using smart phones as learning tools; what robots can tell us about technology, children, and learning; and two major education associations are getting new leadership this fall.
