ARTstor Welcomes
New Subscribing Institutions
As of March 1, there were 1,414 institutions participating in ARTstor.
During February, ARTstor welcomed University of Kansas, Umeå University
(Sweden), University of Evansville (IN), Lake Highland Preparatory School
(FL), Jackson Hole High School (WY), Musea Brugge (Belgium), and
Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (TX).

Meet ARTstor staff at upcoming conferences
ARTstor President James Shulman, Library Relations Associate Siân Evans,
and other ARTstor staff will attend the 40th annual Art Libraries Society
of North America (ARLIS/NA) Conference in Toronto, March 29-April 2,
2012. Senior Implementation Manager Elizabeth Darocha Berenz will be
moderating "Metadata: the changing information landscape";
Elizabeth and Implementation Manager Rebecca Shows will be holding a
Shared Shelf User Group; and Ian McDermott, Collection Development
Associate, will hold an ARTstor Digital Library User Group.

Now available: Wriston Art Center Galleries (Lawrence
University)
ARTstor and the Wriston Art Center at Lawrence University are now
sharing more than 1,200 images of artworks in the Digital Library. The
collection in ARTstor consists of selections from special collections
of early 20th century German art, Japanese prints, and Ancient and
Byzantine coins.

Now available: Nearly 10,000 additional images from
Contemporary Art (Larry Qualls Archive)
Nearly 10,000 additional images from Larry Qualls' archive of
contemporary art are now available in the ARTstor Digital Library. This
release includes hundreds of contemporary artists such as: Ghada Amer,
assume vivid astro focus, Carol Bove, Dan Colen, Tim Hawkinson, Candice
Hoeflinger, Zhang Huan, Ari Marcopoulos, Gordon Matta-Clark, Aleksandra
Mir, Dana Schutz, Richard Serra, Amy Sillman, Andreas Slominski, Josh
Smith, Dash Snow, Rudolf Stingel, Sarah Sze, Rirkrit Tiravanija,
Charline von Heyl, and Kehinde Wiley.

ARTstor Library Relations is now offering online demonstrations for
librarians and faculty at nonprofit institutions interested in
learning more about the content, features, and tools of the Digital
Library. These demonstrations will cover many aspects of the Digital
Library, including collection highlights from over one million interdisciplinary
images and teaching ideas. All that is required to view these online
demonstrations is a computer with Internet access and audio.
