Greetings from The Collaboration!
The deadline for concurrent session proposals for the Collaboration's Annual conference in November, "Ripples in the Pond: Transforming Higher Education for Today," is fast approaching. Attached is an electronic version of the Call for Proposals. The deadline is FRIDAY, April 9, 2010.
Your institution has encouraged and supported many concurrent session presenters at previous Collaboration conferences. We are hoping that we will be able to count on a number of submissions from your faculty and staff again.
I have also included an abbreviated note about the Call for Proposals. Feel free to pass it on to your colleagues, but please add your personal recommendation as well.
"TIME IS RUNNING OUT! SUBMIT PROPOSALS BY APRIL 9 FOR THE COLLABORATION ANNUAL 2010 CONFERENCE: "RIPPLES IN THE POND: TRANSFORMING HIGHER EDUCATION FOR TODAY."
It's not too late to submit your proposal for the Collaboration's November 2010 Annual conference, " Ripples in the Pond: Transforming Higher Education for Today." If you have had success or are working providing new knowledge and ideas, fostering enhanced skills, and promoting the best practices in teaching and learning; or assisting your institution in creating a more effective and engaged faculty and staff; share your experiences with your peers at The Collaboration's conference, November 18-20, 2010.
You can review the Call for Proposals at www.collab.org. We're seeking a broad range of strong proposals that disseminate and model effective practice; promote stimulating dialogue, inquiry, and problem-solving; or engage participants in exploring opportunities of post-conference inter-institutional topics. Questions? Contact us at collab@collab.org or (651) 646-6166."
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for your help in this matter. Take care.
Tim
P.S. I am also including information about two new Collaboration programs for this summer. "Fostering Strategic Faculty Development" is designed to assist faculty development folks in taking their programs to the next level. "Off to a Good Start" is a program for faculty members in their first years of instruction. Let us know if you have any questions about these exciting new offerings!
