Syllabus of the Day

This month's course syllabus brings new meaning to teaching about the 'birds and the bees.'

Prof. Jerry Bromenshenk teaches an
Apprentice Beekeeping course at UTM & is featured in this interesting article that proves a bee is better than a canary in a coal mine.

Have a syllabus worth sharing? Send us the link and we'll feature it.

Storm of Syllabus Geeks at RCCC

Many of you know what it's like trying to manage thousands of syllabi from semester to semester.

Collecting, reviewing, revising, approving, archiving, copying, posting, distributing...it's a tedious and time consuming, yet absolutely essential process.

At RCCC, this burden fell on the shoulders of mainly one individual in the Office of Academic Programs. That's when a band of syllabus pioneers concluded, "there has to be a better way." They were right!

More on RCCC.

Saddle up, we're headed to JAM

Grab yer chaps and shine yer boots, 'cause the Geeks are headed to Dallas. Yee-haw.

Now that we've officially announced our partnership with Jenzabar, we're happy to be participating in our first ever JAM; the Jenzabar Annual Meeting.

Each year JAM brings the Jenzabar community together to share innovative ideas, participate in "how-to" sessions, and have fun with colleagues.

We would love to connect with any budding Syllabus Geeks at JAM. Here's how to find us.

Feature Facts

Ovation for Linked Templates

The introduction of Linked Templates did not receive the ovation composer Giuseppe Verdi did after the 1887 premier of Othello, but it was exciting enough to bring a room full of administrators, ITs, and instructors upright with applauds. True story!

The development of our latest feature came at the request of schools tasked with managing several "tiers" of templates, from the institutional level all the way down to course sections.

The Syllabus Geeks are thrilled to announce our latest feature and we put together a short video walk through. Enjoy.
