34th Annual National BDPA Technology Conference and ITSMF's 3Q12 Symposium

Thank you very much for sharing--please advise how we can best assist FSU's Center for Defense and Homeland Security with STEM-IC student pipelines, scholarships, and internships.  Did you know that for the last 25 years, the top graduating seniors from BDPA's National High School Computer Competition (HSCC) receive STEM or ROTC scholarships to attend college?  Read more ...

Request permission to include subject article and [STEM] related press releases Fayetteville State University (FSU) may want to share with our parents, students, and members who currently follow our series featuring successful HBCU/MSI STEM engagements.  Success stories now include emerging STEM-IC (Intelligence/Cyber) programs, Centers of Academic Excellence participation, and NBDPA's IT Showcase (ITSC) for STEM students who are not application developers.  A cover story from last quarter (your MAY 2012 issue) is linked below for review. It features HBCU participation with ICT industry inclusion as society transitions into a Post-PC era.

NBDPA cordially invites representatives from FSU to join industry executives, game-changers, and other universities to embrace STEM-IC and to meet directly with our global partners next month in Baltimore, Maryland. Baltimore is hosting the 34th Annual National BDPA Technology Conference and ITSMF's 3Q12 Symposium. This year's venue is located in close proximity to Aberdeen and Fort Meade, Maryland; home to US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), US CYBER Command (USCC), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the National Security Agency (NSA,) respectively.

NBDPA's HBCU Roundtable is Tuesday, July 31st, 2012. FSU may want to jointly combine NBDPA's Technology Conference with business development visit(s) to above listed STEM-IC mission partners, whose [IT/STEM/CYBER/R&D] budgets likely will increase in FY13 and FY14.
