As new technology emerges, out goes the old. So, in their
usual fashion, Google is doing some spring cleaning. They're shutting down 5
under-performing services and some of these might surprise you.

In honor
of all things science and the 4th of July, I thought it might be fun to share
an image I came across on Google+ (yes, it's pretty great actually). If
you're heading out to a fireworks display and wish you knew how the different
rockets and explosions burst into an array of colors, wonder no longer.

There's rumors swirling that the elusive Higgs Boson has
been found. In fact, a video purporting to announce this fact has apparently
leaked out according to Wired. So I thought it would be fun to take a moment
to actually learn what the heck the Higgs Boson is. Here are some very quick
bits about the discovery and what it means.

After
all the tech-infused conferences of last week, I needed to disconnect. I
ditched the majority of my gadgets and stuck to just my iPhone as little as
possible. I quickly found out that I simply had to have access to these 5
apps.

One of
the best things the Internet blessed us with involves increased educational
opportunities for children and adults alike. Although some progress still
needs to be made when it comes to accessibility opening lessons up to special
needs learners, there are plenty of resources for engaging a wide variety of
absorption styles.
