DATE:                   April 26, 2012

REHEARSAL: MARSHALS, SENIOR CABINET AND SENIOR CLASS

9:00 a.m. - Marshals and senior class will meet in the Chapel
9:30 a.m. -  Senior Cabinet will assemble on commencement stage in front of Kearny Hall

COMMENCEMENT AND BACCALAUREATE LINE-UP
The faculty will assemble in academic regalia for both ceremonies in front of Stern Hall.  The Faculty Marshals will arrange the order of the processions 15 minutes prior to the procession and will lead faculty and professional staff members to their reserved seats.  The procession for Baccalaureate Service will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. and Commencement at 7:45 a.m.

PROFESSIONAL STAFF
Professional staff with a masters degree or higher will march behind the faculty.

FACULTY AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEMBERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE RESERVED SEATING AREA ONCE THE PROGRAMS HAVE BEGUN.

In the RECESSIONALS, the platform party will proceed followed by the faculty, professional staff, and then the seniors.  Males should remove their caps prior to the invocation and place them on their heads just before marching out, after the benediction.

ATTIRE
Women should be careful that visible clothing harmonizes with the gown. Dark dress shoes with a comfortable heel are a good choice. Slacks, if worn, should be in a dark color. Stockings, if worn, should be skin-toned. The V-neck of the gown looks best over a blouse with a neckline that doesn’t show. Other options are a jewel-necked blouse or one with a collar that can be tucked under the neck of the gown. Avoid turtleneck tops or anything that spills out over the gown. Simple tailored jewelry such as button- or stud-style earrings looks best. An understated necklace that falls to the base of the neck or a strand of pearls is permissible.

Men should wear dress shoes and socks with dark trousers. A necktie or bowtie on a crisply pressed white shirt complement the costume and looks polished.
